The Hamburger Flugzeugbau (HFB) 320 Hansa Jet was developed in the 1950s after the post-WW2 embargo on aircraft development in Germany was lifted. Using some of the ground-breaking research conducted for the wartime Luftwaffe, the Hansa Jet featured a revolutionary forward-swept wing. This freed up space in the cabin and gave passengers an uninterrupted view. Despite its promise, the Hansa Jet found few customers and production was halted after just 47 had been built. This airframe, the second prototype, was on display at Deutsches Museum main Munich campus in 2022.
